Level The Field had a great turnout on Friday for our regents study hall. A number of athletes from Columbia University’s Varsity Basketball and Track teams dedicated 2 hours to help prepare students for regents. Level The Field reserved 3 rooms in the University’s athletic center for interns to study. Athletes went over sample regent questions, played games and taught the interns good study
Who said that community service couldn’t be fun? Level The Field Interns travelled to Randall’s Island this weekend on a mission to give back to the community. Under the direction of ecology experts from Randall’s Island Park Alliance,interns spent three hours weeding and laying down mulch on a path to an emergent wetland. The wetlands of Randall’s Island serve as a habitat for a wide range of species. Because of the work that Level The Field interns performed today, children will be able to utilize this path during educational field trips as a part of Randall’s Island Park Alliance Wetland Stewardship program.
