Restoring the Wetlands of Randall’s Island

Who¬†said that community service couldn’t be fun? Level The Field Interns travelled to Randall’s Island this weekend on a mission to give back to the community. Under the direction of ecology experts from Randall’s Island Park Alliance, interns spent three hours weeding and laying down mulch on a path to an emergent wetland. The wetlands of Randall’s Island serve as a habitat for a wide range of species. Because of the work that Level The Field interns performed today, children will be able to utilize this path during educational field trips as a part of Randall’s Island Park Alliance Wetland Stewardship program. Good Job Interns!
